Baby Competition 2010 Terms and Conditions
The competition is FREE to enter, but is only open to children, aged 24 months or younger who have been photographed at a paid studio photo session at Paul Saxby Photography. Those children who have been entered into a free photo session, such as an Emma’s Diary photo session, DO NOT qualify to enter for the competition and can not win any of the associated prizes. Photo Sessions are subject to a Creation Fee of £25 which must be paid at the time of booking. This fee is to secure your photo session. If, for whatever reason you can not attend your photo session please call before 10:30 on the morning prior to your appointment to reschedule your photo session with no further charge. If you do not attend your photo session, or you do not reschedule your appointment before 10:30 am on the morning prior to your appointment you do not qualify for a refund and you will lose the fee and have to pay the fee again if you wish to re-book your appointment.
You may book as many photo sessions as you like, but you will only permitted to enter one photograph of each child per month. Once a photograph from a particular session has been entered into the competition, no other photograph from the same session may be entered into the competition again. If a parent enters a child more than once over the twelve month period, the photograph that received the most votes will be re-entered into the Baby of the Year Competition for qualification to win the digital camera.
Parents will be sent a copy of our photo session guide book prior to the session. The guide book gives help and advice to all those who are making their first experience of Paul Saxby Photography. The guidebook includes session confirmation details, directions to the studio, contact information, and a list of frequently asked questions with answers that will hopefully help you enjoy your visit to our studio. Parents will also receive a competition entry form and model release which they will be required to complete and sign before the child is photographed.
Baby photo sessions last for 20 minutes and are for single babies only. If you wish to have more than one child photographed at a time then you must book consecutive sessions for each child. Each baby will be photographed individually for the competition, but an opportunity will be made to photograph the children together if required. This applies for older siblings as well, but only children under the age of 24 months will qualify for the competition.
There is no obligation to purchase any photographs, but to qualify for entrance into the competition you must attend a personal viewing session at the studio to choose the photograph you wish to use for the competition. At the viewing you will be given the opportunity to view all the products available to purchase at Paul Saxby Photography and take advantage of some huge discounts that will only be available to those who choose to enter the competition. You will only be able to take advantage of the discounts at the viewing and you will not qualify for any discount if you decide to order any products at a later date. After the viewing you will be given the opportunity to have all the photographs from the session uploaded to a secure web gallery with a print ordering facility. This is a great option if you have friends and family that might want to order their own copies of the photographs for themselves. Online galleries are free to customers who spend £85 or more at the initial viewing session. If you do not order anything at your viewing, you may still have a gallery, but there is a charge of £35 for the creation of the gallery. This will be credited back to you on orders of £85 or more when you check out from the gallery.
All photo sessions are by appointment only. Baby photo sessions are only available during normal working hours on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s and the photos will go on display for voting for a total of 21 days. The photograph will qualify for entry into the month the viewing session occurred, so if the photograph was taken during February, but the viewing did not occur until March, the photo will qualify for the March voting session and associated prizes. Because of the extremely high demand for the baby photo sessions, we must insist on clients arriving 10 minutes prior to their alloted photo session so that no time is wasted during the session.
Voters will only be permitted to vote once per month. Each month the list of voters will be checked against names, and email addresses and any duplicate entries will be removed to make the voting fair. The use of multiple email address by the same voter will not be tolerated and the voter may be banned from voting in future competitions.
Judges decision will be final. No cash alternatives will be exchanged for any of the prizes. Prizes are valid for the nominated prize winner only and can not be transferred or sold on to anyone else. A list of the prize winners and the voting results will be made available on request. All prize winners will be invited to come to the studio to collect their prize. The overall winner of the £250 digital camera will be required to agree to be featured in a Press Release and may also be asked to appear in the local media including being photographed for print media or appear on local TV or Radio news program.
